I had an instant love of creating with metal since my first exposure to handcrafted jewelry in a college course taught by master metalsmith Chuck Evans.  For more than 20 years, I’ve remained fascinated by the transformation of raw material into beautiful wearable jewelry.  My jewelry features simple lines and subtle contrasting textures in silver, gold, and semi-precious stones.

In addition to creating jewelry, I coordinate a jewelry making/metalsmithing program at a community art school.  There, I’ve had the pleasure of working with and studying under many wonderful visiting artists.  They passed along not just technical knowledge, but a passion for their art.  I’ve continued to foster this love of creating through teaching jewelry fabrication to scores of students over the years.  For me, teaching keeps alive the exciting, experimental side of metalsmithing, and through the students’ eyes, I see every-changing views of jewelry.
