I’m a self-taught woodworker who tries to follow three simple principles: make it beautiful, make it last, and above all make it useful.
I keep my methods simple too by following traditional construction methods employed by craftsmen for centuries. Though I use machinery to speed the process of wood prep and shaping of my pieces, most of the work on my furniture is done with hand tools and techniques. In a way this makes each piece, even when I’m using the same design, unique in itself. My design philosophy combines what I’ve learned from Shaker furniture and Impressionist art. I like simple forms (Shaker) that subtlety change appearance (Impressionism).
I have a range of pre-designed pieces to choose from which I add to on an ongoing basis. Custom projects are always welcome and feel free to contact me if you have a project you believe matches my skills. No project is too small or too big. All of my pieces come with a life time guarantee against construction defects; my limited life time anyway. I enjoy knowing the people who own my pieces, and will deliver my furniture to your home or office within 50 miles of my home in Winston-Salem for free.
