A Native of New York City, Diane Starbling has lived a life of passionate creativity.
Beginning with textiles, then exploring wood folk art and small furniture, followed by award winning paintings in watercolor and acrylic, Diane is currently involved in designing mixed media jewelry. Her work ranges from the entertainingly whimsical, to the Vintage Look and the quietly elegant.
Diane’s unique, stunning and mostly one of a kind jewelry pieces are created from a variety of materials, including Sterling Silver, 14 Kt Gold Filled wire, brass, copper, fabric, paper, ceramic, polymer clay, and beads of glass, semi precious stone and pearls. Off loom bead weaving, using tiny seed beads and Swarovski crystals, also results in stunning pieces. Recently, she has begun also to work in fabricated jewelry, as her exploration of materials and techniques continues. Diane believes that each piece of her jewelry will find just the right person to own and wear it. Her philosophy is simple-each piece is designed not just to look great on display, but to enhance the wearer so that the comment heard is not only “nice jewelry”, but also ”you look fabulous!”
